I have an undergraduate background in Cognitive Science and a Master's degree in Linguistics, and taught at the Community College level for 7 years. A vocal condition provided the impetus to change course, and I have put my academic training to use in the area of my first love - dogs. I keep current on peer reviewed research articles detailing positive reinforcement training, managing fear and aggression, and providing geriatric care for dogs. Since 2011, I have cared for pets around Menlo Park, and have many local references.

We train recall using a whistle and treats, and of course, the rest of the well-trained pack. Safety is our #1 priority so we leave the long training lead on until everyone is confident :)

I have used my background in academics, teaching, and animal learning toward the domain of dog behavior and training. I keep up on current peer reviewed research on positive reinforcement training, dog behavioral cues, and aggression assessment.
